Michael is the Managing Director. He graduated with honours from Strathclyde University in 1987 and obtained a Diploma in Legal Practice in 1988. He is also a Notary Public. Since 1990 he has practiced on a daily basis in Hamilton Sheriff Court jurisdiction, having worked as a Solicitor and thereafter Partner with TG Bradshaw & Company and now as a Director of Lanarkshire Law Practice. He is very highly respected amongst his fellow solicitors and the Sheriffs at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
Michael specialises in Family Law and Child Law and has dealt with numerous complicated and difficult cases in those fields. He was Dean of the Society of Solicitors of Hamilton and District between 2017-2019. Since 1995 he has been regularly appointed by the Sheriffs at Hamilton to act as the Court's independent representative in contentious family actions involving divorce, residence, contact, adoption and other issues. In 2008 he was appointed by North Lanarkshire Council as Safeguarder to the Children's Panel to provide independent Reports to the Panel in cases involving children and fulfilled that role until July 2013. Throughout that same period Michael was regularly appointed by the Children's Panel to act at Children's Panel Hearings as Legal Representative to vulnerable adults and children. He is a member of the Family Law Association. He has been a Legal Representative to St. Margaret's Children’s Society since 2013 and was a Tutor in Family Law in the Diploma in Legal Practice at Glasgow University from 2011 to 2018.
